Few environments are tougher on metal than the Hawaiʻian coast. Salt water, persistent humidity, strong UV, and constant moisture exposure attack uncoated steel within months. Add the regulatory shift away from copper-based antifouling, and marine operators need a coating system that handles all of it — without dumping toxic chemicals into the water.
SPI’s marine line carries approvals from DNV, ABS, the AWWA (American Water Works Association), and the IMO. Different products handle different parts of a vessel:
