SP Seal Coat HT is a single-component, water-based hybrid silicone topcoat designed to be applied directly over HPC® Coating. It seals up to 500°F / 260°C and serves two critical jobs: blocking water and moisture absorption into HPC®, and providing an additional barrier against Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI).

Corrosion Under Insulation is the #1 silent killer of industrial piping systems — and up to 85% of all external pipeline corrosion occurs beneath disbonded insulation coatings. SP Seal Coat HT, paired with HPC®, creates an insulation system that resists CUI rather than enabling it.

HPC® is a ceramic insulation layer — porous by design — and benefits from a sealing topcoat in wet or weathering environments. SP Seal Coat HT seals the system and protects against moisture-driven corrosion underneath.
Sealing trapped moisture in is worse than no topcoat at all — the moisture has nowhere to go and accelerates CUI from the inside. The moisture-gauge check is a small step that determines whether the entire system performs.
